Between Reading and Basingstoke on the A33 on the Hampshire/Berkshire border, with easy access from both the M4 and M3, Wellington Country Park Campsite is set within beautiful woodland glades and offers you the opportunity to pitch in natural surroundings allowing you to enjoy the beauty and fascination of being at one with nature. Normal facilities are available and include a laundry and ‘free’ showers. The site is ideal as both a destination or a touring base.

As a destination, campers get ‘FREE’ access and use of all the Park’s facilities as part of their fee. The Park itself provides an adventure play area, toddler’s area, sand pits, water play, slides, miniature railway(£1 extra), nature trail maze, animal farm and petting barn (Apr – Oct only), 9 holes of crazy golf, various play equipment to climb in and on with four nature trails to follow; all ensure a fun filled days for all!

As a touring base, we are ideally situated to visit local areas of interest and attractions as well as London or the South Coast.

Recreational Activities

Nominated for “Best Family Day Out 2011″ and set in 350 acres of beautiful parklands, Wellington Country Park offers a safe, open air, fun filled venue for all the family. There are adventure play areas, animal farm and petting barn (seasonal), toddler’s area, sand pits, slides, miniature railway, nature trail maze, crazy golf and loads of play equipment, all to keep the kid’s busy.
Within woodlands, there are four nature trails taking in sights of our vast array of wildlife in their natural habitat.
Surrounding our beautiful 35 acre lake is the perfect location for a family picnic or BBQ or you can relax in our cafe and browse round our shop.
With special events and fun days held all year round, dogs welcome (on a lead), be it for a short visit or day out, our attraction at Wellington Country Park really does offer it all.

Wellington Farm Shop is situated approximately mile away and has a full range of meat, dairy produce, vegetables, pies, quiches and fresh produce.
A large Tesco is a 10 minute drive away in a village called Hook, though there are smaller shops available in the local village.

Within a short drive there are local pubs for evening meals with a choice of take-aways from a village 5 miles away.

Directions

From junction 11 of the M4 follow the A33 south towards Basingstoke. 2nd roundabout turn left onto the B3349 and follow the road to the next roundabout, go straight across into the Park.

From Junction 5 of the M3, follow the B3349 north towards Reading.

Attractions

The Campsite is an ideal visiting base for Hampshire, Berkshire and the South, with easy access for the M3 and M4 motorways.

For guests travelling to or from Europe, we are a convenient distance from the Channel ports.

The historic cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury, Windsor Castle, and the University town of Oxford are within an hour’s drive and much nearer are the superb shopping facilities in Reading’s Oracle Centre and Basingstoke’s Festival Place.

Other attractions close by include Legoland, Thorpe Park and Chessington to entertain the kid’s and for the grown ups, Ascot and Kempton Race Courses; all of which provide a host of entertainment.
